Concern may include: wanting additional information about the food provided, including the ingredients and preparation process, what to do in the event of a severe allergic reaction.
Dining Services is responsible managing food operations for the WCU campus community, such as the Lawrence Dining Center, The Ram’s Head Food Court in the Sykes Student Union Building, and other outlets in various parts of campus. Catering services are offered for events and activities on campus, and concessions are offered at sporting events such as football and basketball games. The dining staff also support various academic initiatives, including working with both the Departments of Nutrition and Sports Medicine.
Student Health Services provides a wide-range of clinical care. Make an appointment for health services such as asthma care, aches and sprains, sexual health and contraceptive needs. Telehealth visits are available.
The Office of Wellness Promotion engages students in intentional educational opportunities to cultivate life-long learning and a community of well-being. Students are engaged around topics such as alcohol, nutrition, sexual health, tobacco, and well-being.
The Office of Wellness Promotion provides Wellness Coaching which is an individualized process that empowers students to explore and practice strategies to support their health and well-being focusing on the four s’s: stress, sleep, social support, and substance use. Coaching is a short-term, action-oriented tool to help students explore their strengths and personal motivations, identify topics they want to explore, and work towards their health and well-being vision utilizing sustainable strategies in a supportive environment.
