University College

Lawrence Center

In University College, we are committed to three ideals: exploration, interdisciplinarity, and access. We are the college of exploration as we are home to students working with the Exploratory Studies Program. Exploratory Studies is for students who have not yet declared a major and are working to find their path. This program is committed to supporting students so they can find the right path to help solve the problems of tomorrow. If students find that the problems they want to help solve require expertise in various fields, they may major in one of the interdisciplinary programs in University College:the Liberal Studies major or the Professional Studies concentration. These programs allow students to build customized degrees that require students to build expertise in multiple areas. University College is also home to a number of support services that help students succeed at WCU including the Academic Development Program (ADP), the Achieve! Program, the Learning Assistance and Resource Center (LARC), the Office Of Services For Students With Disabilities (OSSD), the Ram Initiative, the Summer Bridge Program, and the Writing Center.
